METAL DETECTOR (loop detector)

A metallic mass detector uses an underground magnetic loop to transmit electronic signals to a signal detector. The system is based on the detection of an inductance variation provokes by the passing of a metallic mass on the loop. All the Prastel range of detectors manages different work frequencies.

In the 1-channel version, they have the automatic gain of the sensitivity (obtainable through the activation of the BOOST function); the version with directional logic determines the opening of the automatic passageway only when the loop has been crossed in the set direction (direction logic).

This system is ideal for commanding the opening/closing of an automatic passageway only when metallic masses (vehicles, carriages etc.) transit, discriminating them from the transit of persons. It is normally used to activate automatic barriers and industrial doors and every support need for the automation of a vehicular passageway.

The system consists of:

• SELF-CALIBRATING SIGNAL AMPLIFIER (Detector), with automatic sensitivity gain and different selectable working frequencies
• UNDERGROUND ANTENNA OR LOOP (see our WIRE1 and WIRE 2)
