A movement detector is an electronic device used to identify movement of persons or vehicles through a given area. In the Prastel range includes three different technologies:

MICROWAVE

Uses a high frequency radio transceiver through an adjustable planar antenna.
Detectors may be set to be either omnidirectional or unidirectional detection depending on application and may be used to detect the direction of passage (in or out). Microwave detectors may be made on medium to large areas for automatic doors, rapid vertical doors, industrial doors or security installationsl

PASSIVE INFRA-RED

Detect and register temperature differences between within a given environment. The PIR dectect the movement of a person through it fi eld and changes state accordingly opening or closing doors in industrial or commercial applications. PIRs are omnidirectional (they can not detect direction of passage) and typically used for small to medium areas automatic pedestrian doors internally or in protected external areas.

INFRARED ACTIVE INFRA-RED

Modulated infra-red transceiver signal detectors are designed for use in small to medium areas and are omnidirectional. The main application fi eld is the control of automatic pedestrian passageways, with the precisely defi ned detection area.
